Export Packaging Checklist for Wooden Products
How to define product protection, retail presentation, carton information and marketplace packing before production.
Design packaging with the product
Packaging should be reviewed while the product is being sampled, especially for furniture, assembled items, fragile edges and products with hardware. Product dimensions, weight and assembly method directly affect protection and carton size.
Define every packing component
The packing specification should identify materials, dimensions, artwork, placement and quantity for each component.

Confirm marketplace requirements
For Amazon/FBA or other marketplace programs, buyers should provide the current labeling, barcode, prep and carton requirements for the destination warehouse. The final packing method should be confirmed before mass production.
